The Year The Sun Didn’t Shine: A.D. 536. A Reading From The Primary Sources.
Переглядів 107Рік тому
I have recently stumbled down a rabbit hole of stories from the early Byzantine period. One story that has me completely fascinated is that of the volcanic winter of A.D. 536 and its subsequent effects on the climate. Historians of the time describe not being able to see the sun for over a year as well as famine, death, and general misery. After doing some research, it appears that a large volc...

Import AVCHD Files To Use With iMovie
Just spotted a problem on Mac, ie the Adobe DNG Profile editor works ok on a PC. It doesn't work on the latest Macs. There is an indication we should use the Profiles SDK, but I have no idea how to use this to create an IR profile: do you know and can you give the rest of us a hint how to do this?
Thk alot
Thanks a lot. Much appreciated!!
Thank you big man.
Thanks Nick.... that is the best explanation and tutorial on the subject!
When I go to EXPORT I only get PNG, JPG or GIF options. And my EXPORT box is totally different to the one in your video. I have Photoshop CC24
Super efficient tutorial! Thank you!
Amazing thanks so much!
Thanks!
Hey man, I know this isn’t related to this video but thank you a lot for your video on putting emulators in a flash drive. I put a bunch of roms and emulators on a 128GB flash drive and gave it to my cousin for his birthday. He loved it. Thanks alot.
My infrared converted phone A52s doesn't support RAW. Can I still control white balance using PNG or JPEG photos?
I believe you should still be able to. It probably just won't be as precise.
Thanks man it is working nicely .
How's the experience compared to RDP? Is it laggy ro blurry at all?
@@ShSmith It was a bit laggy sometimes. But I think this was because of me. I created vm for that mac and I gave my virtual machine a little hdd, 3 gb ram and 1 cpu to work with .
Great! Thanks! And I learned a Batch command too. But one thing is missing. The older images are not stored there. Is there any site that has them - in full resolution?
Don't select all the way to the edge. That's the reason you get the line. If you select a little within the photo, it generates a lot easier and doesn't leave a line. Plus, it gives the AI a little more information to work with.
I came here from Extra History's Saladin series. Interesting to see the Plague of Justinian get a more thorough explanation.
Very interesting video! Thank you! I am struggling with setting a correct white balance in the Develop Persona. I would need a value way below the 2000k which is set in Affinity Photo.. In LR/PS processes people use Camera Profiles to deal with that problem. Any ideas what the solution could be in Affinity Photo?
I don't think there is a way to fix this issue directly with Affinity Photo, but I have found another free application that will solve your problem. Try correcting your white balance using RawTherapee. www.rawtherapee.com/. In the few test's I've done it seems to do the job perfectly without the need for Camera Profiles.
@@NickWilt324 Yes, apparently this is an excellent alternative. I tried it out. Unfortunately, Rawthereapee crashes everytime I try to open a RAW file from my Sony F828. I will have to try to install it again. Thank you anyhow!
hey i couldn't comment on the basic soundboard tutorial so here is my question. how do you make a button that says press spacebar to stop all sounds? and make it a command so when you hit spacebar it stops them. i have done this on a basic sound board before but that was 10 years ago and i forgot how to do it.
what kind of ink did you use?
Can I use thw built in remote desktop? In windows instead of VNC?
Thank You well explained worked like a charm.
the link disco diffusion can not open
just got create help from your 12 year old vegas tutorial. thanks alot mate
We're waiting for you
I have not tried using a piece of paper; it worked well for you. You went slowly and carefully. I've tried using a playing card and an index card, with disappointing results. It's hard to get that inner corner right. I've had good results using a Swiss army-type knife. The shortness of the blade required me go slowly, maybe an inch or two at a time, with the knife on the inside, moving the blade sideways from left to right. It's been suggested to start at the back of the book, since it's easy to make mistakes when getting the knack of it--too late in my case! You can also buy a special knife for this from sellers of book binding supplies (note to self). But if the paper method works for you, so be it!
Thank u sir.
I turned my computer off then back on and it was the same picture and had the little info 🔎 so I moused over it and it told be exactly what the picture was of so I can find it on Google images. No need for all this techno stuff lmao thanks anyway for the video though! Very informative and easy to follow.
You genius, this was flawless. Straight to the point, super easy to follow. I had saw a picture that I wanted for my desktop and this worked great thank you.

love <3 <3
why did it just come up with game icons and stuff?
thanks a lot!!!
Thanks for making this easy to follow video!
You're probably in the majority -- I wouldn't expect most people to just happen to have an envelope-opener on hand. But either that, or probably a simple butter knife, would best handle this task just fine I'm sure. Either side of a butterknife's blade -- it's your choice, whether you want the saw-teeth or the (dull) smooth back/top edge (non-blade) side of the blade. And then I would do it in the same motion that you did, starting from the outside and gently easing your way in toward the spine of the book. Think of it NOT like cutting with scissors, but more like pulling that string on a pack of chewing-gum to tear open its wrapper. SIDENOTE for Jennie V of Missouri : (2:05) a sheet of paper that is NOT acid-free would actually work just fine, I assume. I'm guessing the reason you were instructed to use only acid-free paper (as opposed to some kind of sharp knife) was to preserve the delicate/ancient pages.
It works but its very slow and laggy, any ideas ?
thank you soooo much! i really appreciate it.
thank you so much!!
Cool to see you're still pumping out videos all these years later!
In 'Sharing' if we want to allow "Only these users" and the user is a remote one outside the LAN, what is there to fill ? the remote IP address ?
short, simple, and it works! thanks for the info
Thanks for the video!!!
Dude, I can't see the address. HELP
Trying this out tomorrow I think, thanks for showing how you did it! Looks sick!!
Is that online or only in a local network?
Awesome 🙀
Wow, interesting man
Grand video! Thanks so much. I seemed to me that the flash didn't actually fire, or did I just miss that?
Very cool. Thanks for posting this. With the speedlight so close to the camera, how do you avoid getting reflections off the front and back surfaces of the tank?
Adobe is pissing me off more and more every day 😅 time to move on thanks for the video
thx nick nice to see you uploading again
will it work if i only use one speedlight to take this picture? If it will, where should i put it?
